Why did Six Flags in Ohio close?

Six Flags Ohio closed due to declining attendance, operational losses, and corporate restructuring. After acquiring the park in 2001, Six Flags struggled with profitability. By 2004, Cedar Fair purchased the property and merged it into Geauga Lake, eventually shutting down the amusement rides in 2007.
