Land of Oz Map and Brochure (1970 – 2023)
Location: Beech Mountain, North Carolina
Years Active: 1970 – Active
Land of Oz was an enchanting park picked right out of the movie The Wizard of Oz. Opened in 1970 in North Carolina, it was a true reflection of the movie with a yellow brick road, the dazzling Emerald City, costumes from the original movie, and so much more! After a series of disasters including the death of the visionary owner, fire and theft, the park closed in 1980. The current owners of the property do open the park back up every so often for an autumn festival and tours, so if you’d like to visit during one of these rare occasions, check out https://www.landofoznc.com/.
