Years Active: 1894 – ACTIVE
Seneca Park Zoo isn’t your standard animal exhibit. Sure, it’s got the cute and the cuddly, but it also has a serious mission β saving animals. It’s been around since 1894, making it a Rochester institution as well as a wildlife refuge.
Don’t just come to gawk. Get ready to learn. Their habitats are designed to mimic real environments. You might see the tigers hunting or the otters splashing around. Ever wondered how an elephant actually lives? You’ll find out here.
The zoo’s smaller size makes it way less overwhelming than the big ones. Perfect if you have little kids or get tired easily.
