Schlitterbahn Galveston Island Map and Brochure (2017 – 2025)
Location: Galveston, Texas
Years Active: 2006 – Active
Schlitterbahn Galveston Island is a Texas summer tradition. But it’s not perfect. Expect crowds, especially on weekends, and be prepared for long waits on popular rides. Still, there’s nothing quite like blasting uphill on the Master Blaster water coaster or floating in the massive Shipwreck Harbor wave pool.
The park’s seaside theme is charming, but it can get a bit worn around the edges. Schlitterbahn knows its stuff with water rides though! The Torrent River is a wild ride, but for a true adrenaline rush, nothing beats the drops on the speed slides. Want to avoid lines? Hit those speed slides first thing in the morning or during the hottest part of the afternoon.
Leave bulky towels at home! You can rent them inside, and it saves hassle with lockers.
Kids will love Tiki Tikes, but parents, bring earplugs. It’s a loud, colorful splash zone! Schlitterbahn hosts fun festivals throughout the year, a great reason for a repeat visit.
Schlitterbahn Galveston Island Map 2025
In 2025, Schlitterbahn Galveston Island introduced a new policy requiring all patrons to wear life vests in the wave pool and Torrent River, both of which connect to the lazy river.
The waterpark was closed on July 11, 2025, for recovery following Hurricane Beryl, with tickets from that date honored on any public operating day.
