In 2023, Discovery Place Science introduced several notable updates. The museum debuted the A New Moon Rises exhibition on September 29, showcasing lunar surface photography captured by NASAβs Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter.
The run of Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes was officially extended, and Level 2 (including Project Build and Cool Stuff) closed for renovations to accommodate Marvel-scale exhibitions. Additionally, Discovery Place Science expanded its adult science programming and hosted the ASTC Annual Conference from October 7β10.
