Deep River Waterpark – it’s been a Crown Point staple since 1995. Locals love it, but if you’re a thrill junkie, be warned it’s mostly geared toward families and younger kids. The slides are fun, but don’t expect anything record-breaking. The real draw is the lazy river – it’s surprisingly long, and great for those hot summer days when all you want to do is float.
Let’s talk about that wave pool… it’s on the smaller side, and the waves aren’t super powerful. Buccaneer Bay is the place to be if you have toddlers. Black Snake Summit is where the older kids hang out.
Want to save money? Pack a picnic lunch! Coolers are allowed. Weekday afternoons are less crowded. Also, if you catch a rainy day, check their website for the “Weather Guarantee” program – they offer refunds.
Deep River Waterpark has its charm. It’s great for locals or a quick family getaway, but hardcore waterpark enthusiasts might be a bit underwhelmed.
