In 2025, the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo was officially renamed the Fort Wayne Zoo beginning January 1. On March 28, the zoo launched its 60th anniversary celebration with season-long birthday events. A new nighttime lantern festival, Glo Wild, debuted March 27 and ran through May 26. On May 21, the Coastal Cove habitat opened, introducing California sea lions and harbor seals within a themed rocky shore setting. Additional updates included the arrival of animals such as Kiume the lion, Jasper the snow owl, new aquatic species, and the addition of paddle boats.
