Garden of the Gods Trading Post Map and Brochure (2023)

Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado

Years Active:  1929 – Active

The Garden of the Gods Trading Post is a classic tourist trap…and there’s a reason it’s always packed. It’s a massive souvenir shop with a side of Southwest history. Expect the usual tchotchkes, but look a little closer, and you’ll find some decent Native American crafts and a few interesting vintage pieces.

If you’re a serious collector, they have a higher-end selection. It’s not advertised, so ask one of the staff to show you.

The real draw is the location. You’re right at the base of those incredible red rocks. The patio has the best view in the park – grab a snack and watch the rock climbers. Just know it’ll be crowded, especially during peak season.

Do you need to go? If you love browsing eclectic shops and want a piece of classic Colorado, sure. If you’re looking for solitude and pristine nature, head deeper into the park. The Trading Post is an experience, but the real magic of Garden of the Gods is out on the trails.
