In 2024, Disney’s Fort Wilderness underwent major changes. The original 350 log-cabin style units were removed and replaced with new Disney Vacation Club Cabins, which officially opened in July as part of Disney’s newest DVC Resort.
Later in the year, on October 9, the Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground temporarily closed due to Hurricane Milton, marking a significant operational interruption alongside the debut of the new accommodations.
