In 2025, Elmwood Park Zoo advanced its Master Plan with a 20-acre expansion that introduced new exhibits, including an Amur tiger habitat as the centerpiece of an Asian animals section, plus elk and antelope habitats. The project also added amenities such as a new restaurant, education center, nature play area, expanded parking, and renovations to the treetop adventure course. Harmony Hideaway permanently closed, and the zoo announced a one-day closure on October 10 for the Beast of a Feast event.
