Southwick’s Zoo Map and Brochure (2024 – 2021)

Location: Mendon, Massachusetts

Years Active: 1963 – Active

Southwick’s Zoo isn’t your mom’s zoo. It’s a little quirky, a little unpredictable – the kind of place where you might see a peacock strutting down the main path. Hey, that’s the fun of it, right? It’s been around since ’63, so it’s bound to have some stories to tell.

This place is huge – 200 acres packed with all sorts of creatures. Lions, tigers, oh my… plus a petting zoo filled with unreasonably cute furballs. Feeling lazy? Take a load off and chug through the scenery on the Woodland Express train.

Southwick’s also big on seasonal fun. Get your spook on at Boo at the Zoo or embrace your inner child at Winter Wonderland.

Weekends are a mob scene. Go during the week or after the lunch rush for a more chill experience. Also, a heads up – some of those old-school animal enclosures are a tad cozy. Think of it as vintage charm.
