In January 2025, Virginia Zoo introduced Lily’s new exhibit space as part of the EdVenture & Exploration Campaign, marking an early step in the zoo’s expansion project. In June 2025, work began on the Virginia Zoo Animal Edventure Campus, which includes the Animal Exploration Pavilion and the Edventure Pavilion totaling about 16,000 square feet.
