Castaway Cove Waterpark…it’s a decent way to kill a hot Texas afternoon. Sure, it’s got the standard waterpark stuff: slides, a lazy river, the usual. But don’t get your hopes up about a true island escape – think more tropical-themed parking lot than lush Caribbean hideaway.
The big slides are fun, but expect lines. The lazy river’s fine if it’s not packed to the gills with tubes. Kiddos will love the splash zone, but keep a close eye on them – gets crowded and chaotic fast.
Go on a weekday if you can. Weekends? Forget it. Way too crowded to be enjoyable. Also, pack your own snacks. Park food is pricey and nothing special.
